Privacy at a glance. LUSREN Guide is designed as an EMS reference tool. Core reference use does not require entering patient identifiers. The app can store preferences and temporary calculation context on your device, may request foreground location for destination tools, and sends information to LUSREN when you voluntarily submit feedback, including any screenshots or videos you choose to attach.
1. Who operates LUSREN Guide
LUSREN operates the LUSREN Guide application and the website at lusren.com. Questions about this policy or requests concerning your information can be sent to hello@lusren.com.
2. Information used by the app
Information kept on your device
The app uses on-device storage for certain settings, such as provider-profile selections, theme preferences, cached clinical reference material, and saved text feedback drafts. Patient age, height, weight, and other calculation context may be entered for a temporary session. The app is not intended to serve as a patient care record or store identifiable patient information.
Temporary patient-session context is not automatically attached to feedback reports. Do not enter patient names, dates of birth, medical-record numbers, or other personally identifying patient data into feedback fields or attachments.
Information you choose to submit
If you submit feedback, LUSREN receives the feedback category, affected screen or protocol, your description and expected result, the report time, and app/device context such as app version, operating system, and platform. If you choose to attach an image or video, LUSREN receives that attachment and technical file details such as file name, type, size, or duration. Saved text drafts remain on your device until submitted or shared.
Support emails may contain your email address, message, and any information you voluntarily send.
Location and routing
With your permission, LUSREN Guide may use your current foreground location to find nearby hospitals, identify trauma catchments, or estimate driving distance and travel time. For drive-time calculations, geographic coordinates may be transmitted to a third-party road-routing service (openrouteservice). When you choose to open external navigation, your selected map application or provider may receive location and destination information under its own privacy terms. Location features are optional; you can manage permissions in device settings.
Reference data and technical requests
The app retrieves certain clinical reference and formulary content through its backend service. Hosting and network service providers may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and connection logs, to deliver and secure those services. Our public website is hosted using Netlify, whose infrastructure may process ordinary website request information.
3. How information is used
We use the information described above to display reference content, support selected app features, investigate feedback, correct errors, maintain app quality and security, respond to support requests, and operate the website.
4. Services that process information
LUSREN Guide uses Supabase for certain backend reference content and feedback storage, including optional feedback attachments. Its routing feature can use openrouteservice to estimate road travel times. External Apple or Google mapping applications may be opened when you choose navigation. Netlify hosts the public website. These providers may process information necessary to perform their functions and may have separate privacy terms.
5. Retention and deletion
On-device settings and text drafts can be changed or cleared through available app or device controls. Information submitted to our support and feedback services is retained for support, troubleshooting, product maintenance, security, and applicable legal obligations. If you want to request access to or deletion of information you submitted, email hello@lusren.com. We may need enough information to locate the submission and may retain information when legally required or necessary for security.
6. Data security
We use service-provider and application safeguards intended to protect information. No internet transmission or electronic storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Avoid submitting confidential or patient-identifiable information through app feedback or email.
7. Children's privacy
LUSREN Guide is intended for EMS professionals, students, and other users seeking clinical reference information. It is not designed as a service for children to submit personal information. Clinical age and weight inputs are intended for calculations, not to identify pediatric patients.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the app, hosting services, or legal requirements. The current version will be published on this page with its effective date.
